Robert Paul Ottman, age 43 of Hager City, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 31, 2020. Robert was born June 26, 1976 in Red Wing, MN to James and Darleen (Childress) Ottman. Rob graduated from Ellsworth High School, with the Class of 1994. Rob was united in marriage on July 22, 2017 to Amy Marie Toomey. Rob worked at Treasure Island Resort & Casino, Red Wing Shoe, and most recently as a bartender at Bluffs Bar & Grill in Hager City.

Rob truly found peacefulness in the outdoors, and was happiest when he was on the lake fishing or in the woods hunting. He enjoyed camping and being surrounded by his family and friends. Rob was a devoted Green Bay Packer fan, and delighted in cheering on his favorite team.

Rob will remain in the hearts of his wife, Amy; step-sons, Trevor and Josh Gnotke; mother, Darleen (Frank) Schommer; father, Jim (Janice) Ottman; brother, James (April) Ottman; sister, Lenora “Lennie” Schommer; nieces and nephews: Savana, Andrea, Samuel, Chloe, Olivia, Ashley, Morgan, Mason, Tyler, Tija, Chelsey, Kelsey, Corbin, Carson, McKenna, and Cooper; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin & Dorothy Ottman and Samuel & Rhea Childress.

To honor Rob’s life, a Celebration of Life will be held from 1:30-5:30pm on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the Bluffs Bar & Grill in Hager City.
