Helen Frank

Helen Bernice Frank, age 91 of Prescott, WI, passed away June 14, 2020 at the Kinnic Health & Rehab in River Falls.  Helen was born June 24, 1928 to Thomas and Elizabeth (Maloney) Carlin.  She graduated from Preston High School, with the Class of 1946.  On September 10, 1949, Helen was united in marriage to Allan Frank.  Their marriage was blessed with seven children, Cheryl, Dennis, Laurie, Teresa, Paula, George, and Janelle.

Helen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who graciously provided for her family as homemaker.  She was an unbelievable cook, with the family’s favorites being her homemade potato salad and cheesy scalloped potatoes.  She loved her family well, and made sure that holidays were special with an abundance of food, cookies, treats, and memories.  She adored the little people in her life, and cherished her visits with them.  Helen delighted in her time with family, and always looked forward to the Carlin Cuzzins Camp each year.  Helen was a big fan of the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings and loved cheering on her teams.  She also enjoyed watching high school sports.  In her earlier years, Helen was an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling league.  Helen had a fun loving spirit and was especially proud of her Irish heritage.

Helen will remain in the hearts of her children Cheryl (Mike) Schommer, Dennis Frank, Laurie (Mike) Hoikka, Teresa (Mitch) Kulseth, Paula (Pat) Green, George Frank, and Janelle Frank (Greg); special friend and daughter-in-law, Shelly Frank; 16 grandchildren:  Mike Schommer, Melissa (Damien) Ceman, Jason (Amy) Schommer, Julie (Jeff) Ryan, Sarah Frank, Eric Frank, Tiffany (Josh) Segal, Brandon (McKenzie) Hoikka, Angela Hoikka, Curran Kulseth, Alicia (Frank) Frazier, Nate (Miranda) Green, Tim Green (Nissa), Laura Green (Tom), and Katie Cederholm (Marcos); 28 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marie Carlin; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan; 9 siblings; and her parents.

Private family services will take place at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Prescott with Pastor Timothy Rosenow officiating.  Helen will be buried next to her husband at Pine Glen Cemetery in Prescott.  In memory of Helen, memorials are preferred to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
