Steven Weber

Steven Thomas Weber, age 56 of River Falls, WI, died on Friday, August 7, 2020. Steve was on his way to Sturgis, a motorcycle ride which he loved and looked forward to every year, when he was struck and killed by an oncoming motor vehicle in western Minnesota.

Steve was born February 23, 1964 in Cudahy, WI to parents Thomas and Sharon (Fortier) Weber. He grew up in the South Milwaukee area, attending Blakewood Elementary School, and graduating from Franklin High School with the Class of 1982. Steve furthered his education at UW Platteville and UW Stout, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, and later earned a second Bachelor’s degree in I.T. from UW LaCrosse. By profession, Steve was in I.T., but he really was a jack of all trades. He excelled in carpentry, woodworking and mechanics, learning these skills from his father, grandfather and mentor, Fred Weimer. When presented with a potential project idea, Steve would figure out how to get it done, and would do it. He loved YouTube – he said there was a video to teach you how to do anything on YouTube.

Steve’s superpower came from his dimples, and when he used them Julie could deny him nothing. Most of all, Steve loved and was proud of his children. He’d always stop anything he was doing whenever one of his children wanted to talk to him or needed help with something. He even shared his love of popcorn with his children. Steve was patient and kind with his children, and told them regularly that he loved them. Steve was an amazing husband, son, brother and friend, and the world was a better place with him in it, and is less bright without him. Steve’s life was so much more than what can be written in a few sentences. He was so loved, and he gave of himself and his love to those around him.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Julie; his children, Daniel, Brian, Miranda, and Ellianna; his parents, Thomas and Sharon Weber; his sisters, Donna (Thomas) Adank, and Anne (Douglas) Claflin; nieces and nephews, Eric (Autumn) Adank, Laura Adank, and Jonathon Adank; mother-in-law, Wanda Smith; and numerous friends.

To celebrate the life of Steve Weber, a Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Abundant Life Church, 896 State Road 65, River Falls, WI 54022, with Pastor Kevin Humphrey officiating. The memorial service will be live streamed on the Abundant Life Church Facebook page.  Visitation will be held at the church, beginning at 1:00pm.
