Joan Elizabeth Terry, age 89, formerly of Melrose, MA and Revere, MA, passed away peacefully August 10, 2020 at the Prescott Nursing Home in Prescott, WI.  Joan was born July 26, 1931 in Boston, MA to Lorin and Annie (Bates) McLoud.  She graduated from Revere High School, while working at the knitting mill.  On September 5, 1952, Joan was united in marriage to Kemp Thomas Terry.  Their marriage was blessed with a son, Kemp Jr. and daughter, Nadine.  Joan enjoyed her work as an assistant manager at Friendly’s in Melrose, MA and Stoneham, MA for 35 years.

In her quiet time, Joan loved sewing.   She delighted in her time relaxing by the pool in her backyard, and being surrounded by her family.  She had a special place in her heart for animals and truly loved having her dogs by her side.  She adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and treasured each visit with them.

Joan will remain in the hearts of her son, Kemp Jr. (Dawn) Terry of River Falls, WI; daughter, Nadine (Randy) Robinson of Lowell, MA; 6 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Kemp Sr.; parents, Lorin and Annie McLoud; sisters, Loris Colangelo, Colleen Kahler and Gail Sardo.

Private graveside services will take place at the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, MA at a later date.
