Richard Harp

Richard Leroy Harp, age 82 of Ellsworth, Wisconsin was called home to his Lord and Savior November 19th, 2020. Born on April 21, 1938 in Knapp, Wisconsin to Roy and Dorothy (Fister) Harp.  Richard graduated from Knapp High School, then enlisted into the United States Military, where he received medals for marksmanship, and was honorably discharged after serving his country for 4 years.  Richard was united in marriage to his love, Audrey (Bartlett) Harp. In this union they were blessed with 3 sons.  Richard was a long time over the road semi-truck driver for DART. He enjoyed traveling, driving, and working for Wal-Mart in Red Wing, MN in his later years, as well as volunteering for Pierce County, WI as a meals on wheels driver from 2004-2015.  He was an active member of his church, the Lions Club, the American Legion, Teamsters, as well as a respected and well-known man in the community of Ellsworth.

Richard passed away 19 years to the day of the passing of his love Audrey.  He was also preceded in death by his mother and father Roy and Dorothy Harp; sons Gerald Harp and Allen Harp; and his brothers Francis and Eugene Harp.

Richards legacy will remain ongoing as he is survived by his son Tony Harp (Tonya) of Austin, MN; sister Louella Mcgee of Wilson, WI; grandchildren: Kiley, Ricky, Craig, Sara, Amy, Leah, Emily, Morgan and Thomas; and great grandchild Kavin.

With the ongoing Covid pandemic, a celebration of Richard’s life will take place at a later date.
