Dale Raymond Williams, age 83 of River Falls, WI passed away June 9, 2021 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Dale was born December 15, 1937 in Benson, MN to Raymond and Helen (Alpress) Williams. He graduated from Benson High School with the Class of 1956. On June 6, 1959, Dale was united in marriage to Marcia Lou Hilleren. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, LaVern and Raymond.
In 1964, Dale and Marcia moved to River Falls to start a business with his brother-in-law, Dick Bjerstedt. Together they owned and operated Dick and Dale’s Garage on Highway 35. In 1973, Dale opened his own business, Dale’s Service. He operated that business along with his son Ray until his retirement in 2002. Dale’s son, Ray, continues the family business today.
Outside of work, Dale enjoyed the peacefulness of country living. His love of gardening and sharing his harvest with others was a highlight for him. Many times he would hop on his four-wheeler or golf cart to retrieve what was ready in the garden that day. He enjoyed fishing, spending time outside, setting up an array of bird feeding stations around the yard and tinkering in his garage listening to WCCO radio. Each year he looked forward to attending the MN State Fair and over the course of his life attended the fair over 60 times. As often as he could, he relished the opportunity to see family and friends to catch-up on the news, tell stories and joke around. Dale was appreciative of the many car rides given by family and friends over the years, usually with the hope of stopping for coffee or a quick bite to eat on the way home.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife Marcia of 62 years; sons, LaVern Williams and Raymond (Mary Beth) Williams; grandchildren, Garrett (Emily) Williams and Melanie Williams; great-grandson Andrew Williams; brothers, Ronald (Dorothy) Williams, Neil Williams and Gary (Connie) Williams; sister, Norma (Dick) Bjerstedt; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Karen Williams.

A private gathering to celebrate Dale’s life and interment will take place at a later date.
