Margaret Volz

Margaret F. Volz, loving mom, grandma, and “old grandma”, age of 97, of North Hudson, died on October 9, 2010 at Christian Community Home. She was born on May 16, 1913 to William G. and Flossie (Cameron) Williamson. Margaret grew up in North Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School. She was active in the First Baptist Church for most of her life, was a volunteer caregiver, and a North Hudson promoter. On August 6, 1937 Margaret married Paul Volz of Shakopee, MN.

Margaret is survived by three children: Judy(Tom) LeRoux of Osceola WI, Joe Volz of North Hudson WI, and David (Gail) Volz of Atkinson NH; nine grandchildren, Stephen, Christine, Michael, Timothy, Mark, Matthew, Patrick, Trevor and Whitney; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Sherman; and sisters-in-law: Eunice Miller, Fran Volz and Irene Williamson.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; sisters: Florence Becker, Barbara Anderson, and Jane Halverson; brothers: Bill, Bob, & Jim Williamson; and her daughter-in-law Kathy.

A Memorial Service will be held for Margaret on Saturday, November 6, at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Hudson, 309 Vine Street.  There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at church. 

In memory of Margaret, the family asks that memorials be donated to the church or to Alzheimer’s Research. Services have been entrusted the O’Connell Family Funeral Home & Countryside Crematory, 715-386-3725.
