Lloyd Arthur Wetzel, age 83, of Hudson, WI, formerly of Lake Elmo, MN, passed away on April 6, 2013 at Hudson Hospital. Lloyd was born on July 30, 1929 in Afton Township, Minnesota, the son of William Fredrick and Eleanor (Fritsche) Wetzel. He attended schooling in McCain Country Grade School and Bayport Middle School. Following his school, he ran and later owned his own farm of cattle and crops.

Farming was Lloyd’s life, where he enjoyed working side by side with his brother, Harold. Aside from farming, Lloyd enjoyed going to auctions with Harold, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sisters, Laura Fritsche of Woodbury and Marlene Evans of Canada; along with all of his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold; and brother-in-law, Roger Fritsche.

Funeral Service for Lloyd will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, April 12 at St. Lucas Community Church, 1195 Manning Ave. N, Lake Elmo MN, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will take place at the St. Lucas Church Cemetery.
