Mary T. Rivard (Neumann), age 81 of Somerset WI, died on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater MN. Mary was born June 19, 1932.  She attended Osceola High School, and graduated with the Class of 1950. On October 6, 1956, Mary was united in marriage to Joseph S. Rivard. Their union in marriage would be blessed with ten children. Joseph would precede her in death on March 24, 2007.

Mary’s main focus was family, being a loving and supporting wife, mother, and grandma.  Mary loved to sew and stitch, cook, and tend to her garden.  Mary was an active member of St. Anne’s Parish, and cherished serving others by volunteering countless hours. Mary’s love, devotion, and work ethic spilled over into everything she did.  She will be missed by family and friends.

Preceding her were her parents, Leo and May Neumann, as well as her brother, Earl Neumann.

Mary is survived by her ten children; five sons: Wayne (Colleen Ellwanger Belisle), Warren (Janet Hyland), Louis (Diane Miller-Campeau), Joseph J., and John (Cathy Cheaney) all of Somerset, and five daughters: Mary (Gerald Martell) of Hudson, Ann of Maplewood MN, Rita (Steven Link) of Osceola, Marie (Peter Becher) of Somerset, and Annette (Christopher Marker) of Mill Valley CA; grandchildren, Matthew, Jenna, Emily, and Michael Rivard, Megan Martell, Sara and Samantha Link, Grace, Maggie, and Max Becher, and Theo Marker; two step-grandchildren, Meghan Moore and Brent Ellwanger.  She is also survived by her siblings Adeline Kobs, Eugene Neumann, and Verna Hoverman.

Per Mary’s wishes, a private family service and burial was held. Memorials in Mary’s honor may be directed to the Alzheimers Association, 7900 West 78th St, Suite 100, Minneapolis, MN, 55439.  Cremation services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory. 715-386-3725
