Aaron Bixler

Aaron James Bixler, age 19 of Hudson WI, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, April 9, 2015 after a battle lost to depression. Aaron was born on October 11, 1995 in Milwaukee WI to parents Michael and Pennie (nee Brockman) Bixler.  Aaron moved to Hudson with his family around 2005, and graduated from Hudson High School with the Class of 2014. 

Aaron was a full time student attending the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse where he was pursuing a major in Computer Science. Aaron had earned a black-belt in karate, and enjoyed computers, electronics, and gaming. Aaron also had a true love for nature and the outdoors. He could often be found camping, hiking, and hunting, as well as being on the water, where he loved to go tubing and boating. Aaron was true to his Christian faith, and to his family and friends. He will be missed by those who loved him, and knew him well. 

Aaron is survived by his parents, Mike and Pennie Bixler; his sister and best friend, Bridgette; his paternal grandparents, Paul (Phyllis) Bixler; maternal grandmother, Kay Brockman; aunts and uncles, Jeff (Gail) Bixler, Chris (Stephanie) Bixler, Lynda (Tom) Smith, Deanna Kolacinski, Lori Brockman, and David (Carrie) Brockman; and cousins, Jacob, Anna, Rachel, Rosa, Jackie, Scotlyn, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Hailey, Isaac, Abel, Lily, and Josie. Aaron was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Brockman.

Memorial Services for Aaron Bixler will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the Faith Community Church, 777 Carmichael Road in Hudson WI, with Pastor Larry Szyman officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to services at the church, and also from 4:00-7:00pm on Sunday at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 11th Street South in Hudson WI. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
