Robert J. “Bob” Denucci, age 89 of Roberts WI, died on Saturday, September 5, 2015. Bob was born February 27, 1926 in North Hudson WI to parents John and Anna (Lucente) Denucci. Bob attended school until the 10th grade, when he began his employment with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. Bob’s work was put on hold while he proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII, seeing action in the South Phillipines and Japan. Bob was also a life member of the VFW. After returning from the service and returning to work, Bob would meet and marry Madonna Standaert. They were united in marriage on June 2, 1951. Their marriage was blessed with three children, and celebrated over 64 years of love and devotion to each other.

Bob retired from the Chicago Northwestern Railroad in 1983 due to health issues. If you ever wanted a good laugh, you could visit Bob at the Cave Inn in Roberts, where he tended bar for more than two decades. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, camping, trips to the casino, and being a Green Bay Packers fan. Bob also enjoyed time spent with family and visiting with numerous friends.

Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years, Madonna Denucci of Roberts; daughter, Sandra (Terry) Goulette of Roberts; son, Matt Denucci of Roberts; daughter, Catherine Lindus (Vern Elsenpeter) of River Falls; granddaughters, Allyson (Radar) McManus of Mesa AZ, Lindsay (Spencer Short) Denucci of St. Paul MN; grandson, Cody Goulette (Michael Alcar) of Tillamook OR; brothers, Archie (Ella) Denucci of North Hudson, Doug (Karen) Denucci of North Hudson; sisters-in-law, Beverly Denucci of Roberts WI, and Janet Denucci of New Richmond WI; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna; sisters, Gladys (Mike) Spalaris, and Viola (Tom) Hale; brothers, Ernie Denucci and John Denucci; grandsons, Brady Goulette and Travis Goulette; parents-in-law, Albert and Pearl Standaert; sister-in-law, Shirley (James) Bos.

In honor of Bob’s wishes, a private family graveside service was held at the Warren Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin, WI. 715-684-3434
