Ronald George “Ronn” Henry, age 72 of Roberts, passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2016 at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Ronn was born on October 19, 1944 in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Arthur and Ann (Moravec) Henry. He graduated from Hill High School in Maplewood, MN, and attended the University of Wisconsin, River Falls for two years. Ronn excelled at baseball and played in the Atlanta Braves minor league system. Ronn later worked in the Front Office of the Montreal Expos. He was united in marriage to Allison Eyford on April 15, 1972 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; and couple were blessed with two sons, Blair and Wade. Ronn worked in the restaurant business in the Twin Cities for many years before working as a courier. For the last 12 years, he worked for OnTrac Messenger Service.
Ronn was a hardworking man, but he loved his family and appreciated the time he spent with them. He truly adored his sons, and always supported them in their athletic endeavors and goals. Ronn relished in attending all of his sons’ athletic events which included; football, basketball, baseball, and track. Recently, he was delighted to watch his grandchildren begin to play sports.
Ronn will remain in the heart of his wife of 44 years, Allison; sons, Blair (Kris) and Wade; grandchildren, Colton and Lyla; aunt, Betty Claussen; sister-in-law, Gail Henry; and his neices and nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ann Henry; brother, Richard Henry; and aunt, Mary Gall.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016, followed by a 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S 11th St., Hudson, WI. Interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
