Eunice L. Williamson Miller

Eunice Lucille Williamson Miller, age 88 of Hudson, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Christian Community Home in Hudson.

Eunice was born January 27, 1929 in North Hudson, WI to parents Elmer and Celia (Sorenson) Simpson. She grew up in North Hudson, and graduated from Hudson High School. She worked a short time at Wisconsin Telephone before beginning a 38 year career at West Publishing where she worked in the Comparing Department. On February 25, 1949, she married James D. Williamson in Hudson. After 45 years together, Jim would precede Eunice in death on May 3, 1994. Eunice would later be united in marriage to Robert R. Miller on January 8, 1998 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hudson. Bob also preceded Eunice in death on March 1, 2009, after 11 years of marriage.

Eunice will be remembered for her grace and remarkable attention to detail. She cherished the time spent with her nieces and nephews; adoring and loving them as if they were the children she never had. Eunice was fond of spending time at the family cabin in Solon Springs, WI and later the Miller cabin on Yellow Lake, in Webster, WI. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, where she was an active member for many years and sang in the choir. 

Eunice will remain in the hearts of her sisters, Delores Senrick and Beverly (Jerrold) Weeks; brother, Robert (Ann) Simpson; many beloved nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James “Jim” Williamson and Robert “Bob” Miller; her parents; sister, Eleanor Sommers; and brother-in-law, Gene Senrick.

A Memorial Service for Eunice will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Bethel Lutheran Church – Downtown Campus, 920 Third St., Hudson, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. Interment at the Willow River Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Bethel Lutheran Church.
