Pelegrina Thoms, age 73, passed away March 10, 2018 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Pelegrina was born on November 18, 1944 in the Republic of the Phillipines. In January of 1969, she was united in marriage to Steven Richard Thoms on an island in the Phillipines. Their union was blessed with three children, Rick, Gerald, and Brian.

Pelegrina was proud to be a loving wife, mother and grandmother; she thoroughly enjoyed attending each of her sons’ band concerts in their younger years, as well as caring for her grandchildren whenever she could. She appreciated the simplicity of carrying a conversation with a stranger throughout her part-time work at McDonalds. She also took pleasure in life on the farm; she tended to the calves, ducks and chickens as well as her inventive gardens and bountiful fruit trees.

Pelegrina will remain in the hearts of her husband, Steve; children, Rick (Darlene) Thoms, Gerald (Cheryl) Thoms, and Brian (Alisa) Thoms; grandchildren, Devin, Steven, Kaitlyn and Matthew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as 4 siblings.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Thursday, March 15, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin, followed by a Prayer Service for Pelegrina at 7 PM. Services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Funeral Home of Baldwin, WI.
