Penelope ‘Penny’ Siegersma

Penelope “Penny” Siegersma, age 59 of Baldwin, died peacefully March 24, 2018 at United Hospital in St. Paul following complications of a stroke. Penny was born on September 5, 1958 in Baldwin, Wisconsin; the daughter of Earl and Linda Bates. She was raised in Baldwin where she graduated from high school. On October 27, 1978, she was united in marriage to Bruce Siegersma at the First United Presbyterian Church in Baldwin. This union would be blessed with one son, Nicholas.

Penny worked for Andersen Windows for many years along with Bruce. She worked as a casement assembler prior to her medical retirement. Earlier if life, she enjoyed horses and always wanted one of her own. More recently, she enjoyed creating special greeting cards for family and friends. ‘Stamping Up’ as its called, was something she loved to do to remember important people in her life.

Penny is survived by her husband, Bruce; sister, Teddy (Jim) Stone; Father-in-law, Ron Siegersma of Baldwin; sisters/brothers-in-law, Sue (Glenn) Kennedy of Okinawa, Japan, Sharon (Richard) Marr of Atlanta, GA, Lisa (Marc) Quaglio of Portland, Oregon, and Joel (Amy) Siegersma of Portland, Oregon; and many nieces and nephews. Her parents; brother, Pete; and beloved son, Nicholas precede her in death.

A time to remember Penny will be Thursday, March 29th from 4pm to 6pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin. Private Interment will be in the Baldwin Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
