Jacob V. Trebus, age 93, died peacefully on September 5, 2018 at Spring Valley Health and Rehab.

Jacob was born on September 15, 1924 to Albert and Mary (Messersmith) Trebus in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. He spent most of life working as a painter in the River Falls area. Outside of work, Jacob was an avid fisherman; enjoying the fishing trips to Canada.

Jacob is survived by several nieces and nephews; and his brother-in-law, Herbert Minder.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary; sisters, Amelia (Gene) Emerson, Adeline (Robert) Finke, and Irene Minder; and his brother, Marvin Trebus.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5-7PM on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton St., Baldwin, WI. Interment will take place in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in New Centerville, WI at 10AM on Friday, September 14. Services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin.
