Michael “Mike” A. Thompson, Age 62, of Hudson, Wisconsin, passed away July 28, 2019. Mike was born September 23, 1956 in Minneapolis, MN and graduated from Hopkins Lindbergh HS and St. Cloud State University. Better known as T-Bird to his co-workers, he served nearly 30 years as a corrections officer at Oak Park Heights Correctional Facility until his retirement in 2012. Mike enjoyed spending time with family, weight lifting, and all things Minnesota sports. Mike is preceded in death by mother, Jane and father-in-law Leon Berg. Survived by wife, Kyara, sons Derek (Ashley) and Dustin, father Jerry, and mother-in-law Pam, brothers Steve (Jan), Jeff (Pam), and Randy (Kim), and many other loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Mike will be held on Saturday, September 7th, 2019 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, WI. A gathering of friends and family will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with a service starting at 2:00 pm. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
