Roger Thomas Johnson, age 52 of Hudson, passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2020 at his home. Roger was born on March 26, 1967 in Red Wing, Minnesota; the son of Terry and Sharon (Martin) Johnson. He grew up in Ellsworth and graduated from Red Wing High School. He continuing his education at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where he earned a degree in computer science. Roger was united in marriage to Penelope Presley on May 15, 1993 in Pendleton, Indiana, and the couple were blessed with two children, Dakota and Lee. Roger enjoyed his role as being a husband and father, and did his best to support his family. He worked as a computer support specialist for several companies, most recently Ecolab. Roger enjoyed reading about history and science fiction and was fond of playing Magic: The Gathering, and role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons.

Roger will remain in the hearts of his wife of 26 years, Penelope; daughter, Dakota; son, Lee; and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon.

A gathering of family and friends to remember Roger will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 20th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson.
