Beverly Noack

Beverly May (Skoog) Noack passed away peacefully on April 24, 2020 from complications of Alzheimer’s. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, LeRoy, parents Aaron and Mildred Skoog and sisters Violet (Weber) and Margaret (Jahr). She is survived by her sister, Shirley Pedersen; sons, Dave (Linda) and Ken (Mary Kay) Noack; daughters,  Karen (Dan) Scholz and  Kris (Dan) Coyer, 11 grandchildren, Jennie (Pat) Mildebrandt, Nick (Amanda) Noack, Ryan (Jill) Noack, Pat (Nina) Noack, Kelsey (Cody) Fox, Steve (Annie) Scholz, Eric (Heather) Scholz, Heather Scholz, Dylan (Caitlin) Coyer, Erin Coyer and Jackson Coyer;  and 12 great-grandchildren.

Beverly was born on October 24th, 1931 in St. Paul and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1949. Bev and two high school girlfriends spent the next year working in Washington D.C., and took the opportunity to see the sights and visit New York City. Her on again, off again romance with LeRoy rekindled upon her return to St. Paul, coupled with his return from service in the Korean War. They were married May 16, 1953 at Saint James Lutheran Church in West St. Paul.

Bev worked in the office of West Publishing until the birth of her first son, David in March 1954. Her second son, Ken, was born in 1956. Karen, her third child, was born in 1960, and her second daughter Kris followed in 1967.

She lived most of her life on the Noack homestead in Mendota Heights. She spent the last eight years at Christian Community Home in Hudson, where she made many dear friends. Always smiling and willing to serve, her deep Christian faith was evident at an early age. She was a longtime Sunday School teacher, served on the Altar Guild, and gave many years of service to the Mission for the Visually Handicapped. She was a Cub Scout leader briefly and volunteered serving Meals on Wheels.

She very graciously looked for opportunities to serve and give herself for the good of others, especially her family. She was motivated by a kind, loving heart and did not seek recognition for herself. She adored her family and acknowledged her thanks for God’s grace in her life.

Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A date for Beverly’s Celebration of Life Service is currently pending. Details will be available on the O’Connell Family Funeral Home website.
