Kathleen Ann Murphy, age 66, of Shakopee, MN, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2020. Kathy was born on August 4, 1953, to James and Margaret (Lym) Murphy. Kathy graduated from South St. Paul High School on June 8th, 1971 and graduated from Inver Hills Community College in June, 1984 with a degree in nursing.

Kathy loved dogs and animals. Her love for animals was only matched by her love towards caring for people. She was a caregiver, through and through. And whether she met someone on a good day or bad, people would become instant friends with Kathy, and they would gain a lifelong friend whose love and care for others could not be measured. Kathleen always found a way to make sense of life and the metaphorical puzzle pieces were meant to be placed together at certain times and places.

Kathy is survived by her brothers, David (Marge Olberg) Murphy of Savage MN, and John Murphy of New Hope MN, and Alberta Anderson-Murphy of Maple Grove MN; uncle, James (Joan) Lym of White Bear Lake MN; and several cousins, their families and the rest of her beloved family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Margaret Murphy, formerly of Hudson, WI; and her sister, Mary Kay Murphy, formerly of Shakopee, MN.

A private Memorial Service for Kathleen will take place. Her private Interment will take place at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Hudson, WI.
