Patricia Klund

Patricia Ann Klund, age 70 of Wilson, died peacefully Saturday August 18th at her home with her family by her side. Patricia was born to Clarence and Alma (Thompson) Hamilton in Baldwin on December 18, 1947. She was raised in Hammond and was a 1966 graduate of St. Croix Central High School. She would meet and later marry Thomas J Klund on June 18, 1968 in Honolulu. Through ups and downs, they recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. For her entire career, she worked as a bookkeeper. Early in life, she worked for Standard Storage and Battery as well as Veirling Carsoff Accounting in the Twin Cities. Most recently she worked as a bookkeeper at Baldwin Woodville High School.

Patricia loved many things in life such as ceramics, fishing, camping when the kids were growing up and her beloved Packers. She also enjoyed playing softball when she was younger and was a member of the Hammond Baldwin Softball League, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She cooked all the holiday meals and made the best Christmas cookies, paying tribute to her Norwegian heritage.

Patricia remains in the hearts of her husband of 50 years, Thomas Klund; her children, Darcy (Julie Allyn) Klund of Minneapolis, TJ (Kelly) Klund of Woodville, and Lori (Zack Morgan) Klund of Wilson; grandchildren Alyssa (Anthony) Wittmer, Tyler Klund, Henry Hartllyn, Adam Gustafson, Olivia Klund, Hunter Smith, and Isaac Morgan; great grandchildren Meilah, Kellan, and Serenity; siblings Ron (Judy) Hamilton of FL and Rich Hamilton of FL; brother and sister-in-law Gary (Judie) Klund of Cumberland. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Alma Hamilton; brother Duane Hamilton and brothers and sister-in-law Andy Klund and Bob (Jackie) Klund.

Funeral service for Patricia Klund will be 2pm Friday August 24th at Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville. Burial will be in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Baldwin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church Friday afternoon. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family. Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin.
