Charles Watchowski

Charles “Chuck” Watchowski, age 61, of Hammond, died on January 14th, 2011 at the Golden Living Center – Greeley in Stillwater, Minnesota. Chuck was born on August 14th 1949 to Joseph and Ida (Pacola) Watchowski in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up in Detroit and would eventually earn a degree in computer analysis. In 1970, Chuck married June Fassero in Ferndale, Michigan. The marriage would be blessed by one daughter, Jen. From 1970-1972, Chuck served in the US Army as an accountant and payroll clerk. When he completed his time in the army he worked all over the country as a computer analyst. Chuck started in California but with his abilities in high demand he was soon traveling all over the nation. He was very successful and often found that companies were seeking him out for their specific needs. In 2003 he settled in Hammond, Wisconsin with his daughter and her son, Jeremy.

Chuck enjoyed many hobbies. He loved to golf and collect and build models of exotic cars. He was also musical – playing the bass guitar in different groups including the band, “Elements” based out of Detroit.

Chuck is survived by his; wife, June of Hudson; daughter, Jen of Hammond; and grandson; Jeremy of Hammond. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial gathering for Chuck will be held on Friday, January 21st, from 5-7 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. The evening will conclude with military honors provided by the Hudson VFW and American Legion. Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home – Hudson, Wisconsin.
