Celia Viola Miller, age 100, formerly of Hammond and Woodville, passed away November 17, 2016 at Comforts of Home in River Falls. Celia was born February 7, 1916 in New Richmond, WI, the daughter of Albert and Clara Olson. She was united in marriage on May 2, 1936 in St. Paul, MN to Aloysius A. Miller. Their marriage was blessed with four children: Ronald, Arlene, Kenneth and Alan. Celia was a farm wife and homemaker, graciously providing a loving and nurturing home for her family.
Most important to Celia was her faith and her family. She was an active member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hammond, especially enjoying her time and friendships made with the quilters club. Throughout her life, Celia loved dancing, and delighted in her time on the dance floor. She was fond of both flower and vegetable gardening. Celia was a wonderful cook, baker and canner, filling her pantry and the people she loved with delicious meals and desserts.
Celia will remain in the hearts of her children, Ronald (Audrey) Miller of River Falls, Arlene (Vincent) Randall of Baldwin, and Kenneth (Geri) Miller of Danbury; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-great grandchildren; god daughter, Gloria Thompson; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al; son, Alan; brothers, Raymond and Arnold Olson; sisters, Rosella Elden, Alvina Mork, Betsy Mork, and Olga Kulzer.
A Visitation will take place 5:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, November 21, 2016 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton St., Baldwin, and one hour prior the service Tuesday at church. Funeral services will take place 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1250 Broadway, Hammond. Interment will take place at the Hammond Cemetery. Pallbearers assisting with the services will be: Rodney Miller, Kenny Miller Jr., Chris Miller, Scott Miller, Scott Randall, Don Matzek, Brian Randall, and Annette Michaud.
