Curtis “Curt” E. Peterson, age 80, of Somerset, WI, died suddenly on June 9, 2021 at his home in Somerset.

Curt was born on April 7, 1941 to Roy and Alyce (Burman) Peterson in Minneapolis, MN. He grew in Osseo, MN, graduating from Osseo High School. Following high school, as a young man he enlisted in the armed forces and proudly served in the United States Air Force.

He was united in marriage to Beverly Fjorden to which children Heidi and Derrick were blessed. This union would later dissolve. Curt was a lifelong salesman. He owned and operated Metro Industrial Sales, a company that specialized in Heating and Plumbing. He was a passionate animal lover who is preceded in death by many of his fur babies who brought him great joy. Curt would later marry Edith “Edie” Sydnes. She would precede him in death in 2000

Curt was a lovingly devoted father, grandfather, and Husband. He is survived by his children; Heidi (Mike), Derrick (Jill), step children Trisha (Tony), Amy (Dave); grandchildren Daniel, Austin, Olivia, Sophia, Shania, Sydne, Alana; siblings Myra, Janet (Jim), Linda (Skip), Philip (Mary), Gary (Mary); great friends Jamie, Ashley, Mikayla. He is preceded in death by his wife, Edith.

A visitation will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. Graveside service at 4:00p.m. on Thursday, June 17 at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in St. Joseph, WI. Full military honors will be provided by the Hudson VFW and American Legion. Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.
