Charles L. Mariana, age 85, of Hudson, WI, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

He was born the son of Leo and Esther Mariana on November 7, 1933 in Stillwater, MN and graduated from Stillwater High School. He was drafted into the Navy and was stationed in Long Beach, CA. After his time in the Navy he spent his career as a printer for Daily Printing in Minneapolis before continuing his career at Brown & Bigelow where he worked until his retirement. He married the love of his life, Maryann Everson on August 25, 1956 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hudson and together they were blessed with four children.

Charles was an easy-going, softhearted man who enjoyed taking care of his family and friends. He loved spending time with his family and being up at the cabin near Spooner with Maryann. He was a bowler for many years and liked to play cribbage and was a competitive Yahtzee player. His favorite team was the Vikings. He was a faithful fan to the end – always hoping for that Super Bowl win. Charles always had an ear to lend and had a great sense of humor. Other hobbies Charles enjoyed were gardening, baking and playing the harmonica.

He will be missed greatly by his children Gloria Mariana, Vicky (Earl) Johnson, Charlene (Bill) Willman, and Chuck Mariana; grandchildren David, Brenda, Marie, Scott, and Johnathan; great grandchildren Maggie, Lilliana, Kaden, Brock J., Austin, Brock M., Mazyn, and Cynthia. He is preceded in death by his wife Maryann, his parents, and his brothers Tom and Dale and sister Judy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will at 11am on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hudson, WI. Visitation will be two hours prior to Mass. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to donor’s choice.
