Beverly Lowe

Beverly Lowe, age 92 of River Falls, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Beverly was born on April 30, 1930 in Baldwin, WI to Isabel and Marvin Jenson. She and her family lived on several farms around St. Croix and Pierce counties, and she attended multiple country schools until she moved to River Falls in 1944. She graduated from River Falls High School with the class of 1948 and continued her education at the River Falls Teacher’s College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Education.

Beverly met her husband, Thomas Lowe, in high school. She often recalled their first date, which was a hayride in October, 1946 stating, “I loved him from that day on”. They were married on December 19, 1953 and were blessed with four daughters, Elizabeth, Margaret, Ellen, and Carolyn. Beverly taught kindergarten at Greenwood elementary until 1959 and loved seeing her “adult” students around town. She cherished her years as a teacher and never lost the joy of being around young children. Beverly had a love for family, sewing, gardening, art, animals, cooking, and fashion. If asked, she would say her greatest accomplishment was raising her four girls and watching her grandchildren grow. She often remarked that “Everyday is Mother’s Day.”

She was deeply involved in her girls’ activities which included horse shows, 4-H, band performances, forensics and plays. After her children graduated, she was able to express her love of fashion and vintage clothing through working at the Ragstock store and fitting wedding dresses and tuxedos at that Bridal Center in River Falls.

She led a full life and lived independently on the family farm until shortly before her death. She saw beauty in everything and was her family’s greatest cheerleader.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 65 years, Thomas Lowe, and her sister Donna Larson.

Beverly will be deeply missed by her four daughters Elizabeth Lowe, Margaret (Walter) Fuchs, Ellen Lowe, Carolyn (Mike) Laurel, her grandchildren, Ashley (Frank) Chiarappa, Josh and Connor Fuchs, William and Drew Manns, Isabel and Greta Laurel and her great grand-daughter Lea Chiarappa, as well as niece Susan Mueller (Larson) and the rest of her nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Beverly Lowe will be 2PM, Monday, August 29th at Hope Lutheran Church in River Falls. Click here to watch livestream service. Visitation will be from 12:30pm to 2pm prior at the church. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the discretion of the family.
