Maurice Willard Knutson, Jr. (Maury) was born January 20, 1946, in Amery, Wis. He grew up in Richardson and was a 1964 graduate of Clayton High School. He served four years in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran

Maury passed away on October 17, 2022, at Comforts of Home in Baldwin, Wis. Special thanks to the staff at Comforts of Home and Olive Grove Hospice for the excellent care they provided to Maury.

Maury was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Sarah Jane “Sadie” Knutson, and his nephew Andrew Cuper. He is survived by his sisters, Jackie (Wally) Cuper, Kim Knutson, and Kay (Wayne) Duzynski, along with niece Sarah Duzynski and nephews Scott Cuper, Jeremy Cuper, Christopher (Liane) Hatch, and Patrick (Dani) Duzynski.

His family is celebrating Maury’s life privately, with his interment to be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
