Larry Bruce Rasmussen, age 76 of River Falls passed away unexpectedly on November 28, 2022 at his residence in River Falls, WI. Larry was born to Vernon and Martha (Daenzer) Rasmussen on June 25, 1946 in Red Wing, MN. Larry grew up in the Ellsworth area and attended Ellsworth High School graduating with the class of 1965. He entered the United States Air Force right after High School. Larry then furthered his skills and knowledge going to a local trade school, helping him get started into the welding industry. He married the love of his life, Gayle Elizabeth Groom on January 28, 1972 at United Methodist Church in River Falls, WI. This union blessed them with their daughter Stacie.

Larry loved being a Grand Father; Sully was his world, other than his daughter. He loved playing horseshoes, being silly and having a good laugh. He was passionate about history and enjoyed war movies. Larry also enjoyed going to Breakfast regularly at Table on Main and liked to spend many a nights at The Nutty Squirrel where he enjoyed his soup and diet coke along with friends.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Stacie (Tony) Nelson and grandson, Sully; siblings: Carol Stejskal, and Merlin (Donna) Rasmussen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle; brother in law: Terry Stejskal, and Benny.

A Memorial Service will be at 11:00am on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Mount Zion Church: 505 13th St, Hudson, WI 54016. A visitation will start at 10:00am until the start of the service. Burial will be Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls.
