William Edward “Bill” Johnson, age 68, of Hudson passed away on January 29 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

William was born on June 6, 1954 in Eau Claire, the son of Robert and Emily (Vodacek) Johnson. He was raised in Bloomer and graduated Bloomer High School.

Bill was united with in marriage with Laurie Schmelter in April of 1990. He was a special ed teacher for over 30 years. Bill was an avid fly fisherman who loved the Kinni River; and a Green Bay Packer fan. He will be remembered for his good sense of humor.

Bill is survived by his wife Laurie; brothers Bobby and Michael (Phyllis); nephew Brandon (Bridgette).

He was preceded in death by her brother David (Donna); parents Bob & Emily.
