Annette Jean (Bibeau) Gentile, age 55, of Balsam Lake Wi. passed away on April 1,2023 at Regions Hospital with her son and loved ones by her side. Annette was born on December 6, 1967 in St Croix Falls to parents Bill and June (Gullickson) Bibeau. She graduated from St. Croix Central High School in the class of 1986. After graduation she continued her education at Dakota County Technical College and earned a degree in paralegal studies. Annette worked in administration for Loffler, Cargill, and eventually Medtronic. Annette married Richard Gentile in May of 1995 and together they had two sons. Their marriage later dissolved.
Annette was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was only 19 years old, and she went on to be a strong advocate for affordable insulin for all. She was a fan of Bret Michaels as he is also a diabetic, and would always attend his concerts when he was in the Twin Cities area.
Annette had a big heart and often cared for others before herself. In high school she enjoyed cheerleading and was Miss Congeniality on the Hammond Queen’s court. She loved scrapbooking, going shopping, having lunch or just a diet Pepsi with her friends, and just driving around. Annette was also a huge Packer fan. She was a proud Wrestling Mom and attended all of Jacob’s matches . She will be remembered for her bright smile and her energetic personality.
She will remain in the hearts of her son, Jacob, parents Bill and June Bibeau, brother Tony (Kristen) Bibeau, a foreign exchange student brother Ernesto Godoy, her dog Lucy, her many friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her infant son Brandon, her grandparents, and a special aunt Julie.
A memorial service celebrating Annette’s life will be held on April 13, 2023, at O’Connell Funeral Home in Baldwin, Wi. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:30pm with a service at 6:30. Memorials are preferred to the family.
