Julie V. Conley

Julie Va Lisa Conley, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

Julie was born in Hampton, Iowa to George and Velmie Anderson. As a young child, her family moved to Wisconsin where she was raised and attended St. Croix Central Schools.

Julie’s greatest blessings in life were her four children and later her grandchildren. She loved celebrating holidays with them, yearly trips to Valley Fair, and many late nights playing cards and board games. Julie was a shark at Yahtzee and never lost a game of Euchre – especially when it was her turn to deal. Julie was a great cook, and her family will especially miss her sausage gravy, French toast, BBQ ribs, and her famous stove-top popcorn.

Julie will be remembered for her soft heart, gentle smile, long visits with friends over coffee, and her love of the Lord. She was always happy attending church and singing the old hymns she had memorized. Julie had a kind heart and even when she didn’t have a lot, she always found a way to share. She had a special way of connecting with young children, the elderly and animals and truly loved with all that she had to give. Julie could often be found driving fast and singing loud! Everywhere she went, she filled her world with country music. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and proudly wore her green and gold!

Julie will remain in the hearts of her mother, Velmie Sobottka; four children: Tracee Anderson (Nathan Scharping), Sara Larson (Jeff Waalen), Nicole Larson (Anthony Velure), and Amber (Ryan) Grajkowski; her grandchildren: Jonah, Taylor, Jordyn, Carlee, Vincent, Evelyn, Logan, and Everett; her siblings: Brian Anderson, Shelly (Joe) Newton, and Monica (Phillip) Gehrman; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was greeted in heaven by her younger brother, Dan Anderson; and many special Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and her beloved cats.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 2-4p.m. at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Baldwin, WI. Funeral Service to follow at 4p.m. Interment at Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Baldwin. Memorials are preferred to the family.
