Kathryn Robelia

Kathryn (Kathy) Robelia age 73, of Hudson, Wisconsin, passed on May 15th, 2023. Kathy was born on January 4, 1950 to Leo and Ester (Stratten) Jones in Gary, Indiana.

Kathy relocated to Siren, WI with her family in the mid 1960’s and graduated from Grantsburg High School in 1969. In 1968 Kathy went on a blind date with a guy named Dennis Robelia and little did she know he would be the one she spent the rest of her life with. She and Dennis were married on August 22, 1970 and went on to welcome 4 sons, Brian, Timothy, Kevin and David. While Kathy loved her boys dearly she always wanted a girl, and finally in 2008 she got her wish with the birth of her first granddaughter.

Kathy worked in a few different fields, she was a nurse’s aide and most recently a teaching assistant in River Falls, before she retired in 2015.

Kathy spent her life caring for her boys and creating memories that the family would always cherish. She loved tending to her family, grandchildren, flowers, garden and was also very good at baking, and crocheting. Kathy was also an active member of First Baptist Church of River Falls.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of 52 and ¾ years Dennis, children, Brian (Kristel) Robelia, Tim (Kim) Robelia, Kevin (Tara) Robelia, David Robelia, Grandchildren, Mathew, Erik (Kyra), Makalya, Tyler, Silas, Ellie, Great Grandchildren, Stellona, Arionna, Rahmonna, and many nieces and nephews.She is preceeded in death by her parents, Leo Jones, Ester (Stratten) Jones, her brothers Junior, Charles, Bob and her sister Betty.

A visitation for Kathy will be held on Thursday, May 25th, 2023 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, Hudson, WI from 10-11am. A funeral service will be held following the visitation from 11am-12pm. The funeral service will be followed by a luncheon held at the funeral home. Memorials would be preferred to the family, funds will be put towards a monument.
