Janet Kay Kuhlmann

Janet Kay Kuhlmann, age 58, passed away on April 4, 2024 at her home in Hudson, WI.

Janet was born January 8, 1966 to Laddie and Carole Zellinger in Manitowoc, WI. She was raised with her six other siblings in Phillips, WI. After graduating high school in Phillips, she received her degree in Human Resources from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Janet met Michael Kuhlmann and the two married on April 20, 1991 at Saint John Lutheran Church in Phillips, WI.

Janet worked in human resources for Diasorin Company, later named Trane Industries, until their son Joshua was born.

Janet enjoyed both vegetable and flower gardening. She desired canning her produce when she could and also loved making her own wine. She had a vine that was over 100-years old that would help produce grapes for her wine making process. When Janet was able, she also enjoyed her outside time hiking. If given a choice of desserts, she loved a slice of key lime pie, which was her favorite dessert. In Janet’s spare time, she worked with her hands crocheting, knitting and sewing. Using these talents, she often had made her own clothing.

Janet is survived by her husband Michael Kuhlmann; son Joshua Kuhlmann; mother Carole Zellinger; sisters Kathy Zellinger, Nancy Zellinger, Shanelle (Wilmer) Fernandez; brothers Fred (Sanu) Zellinger, Steve (Kelsi) Zellinger; brothers-in-law Aleck Aguado, Steve Kuhlmann, Thomas (Mara) Kuhlmann, Kevin Kuhlmann; father-in-law Gerald Kuhlmann; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Laddie Zellinger; sister Amy Aguado; and mother-in-law Elizabeth Kuhlmann.

A Celebration of Life for Janet will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Saint John Lutheran Church, 120 Forest Avenue, Phillips, WI 54555. Service will begin at 11:00am.
