Paul Donald Larson, 76, of Hudson, WI, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater.
Paul was born in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, on July 28, 1947, to Lloyd and Gladys (Lonzo) Larson. As a young boy, He was active in Boy Scouts from 1957 until 1962. He graduated 1965 from Milwaukee Lutheran High School and earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. On June 16, 1973, he was united in marriage with Patricia Fellenz in Eau Claire.
Paul’s public service started with serving in the United States Navy from 1965 until 1968. He served the City of Hudson as a police officer for 38 years, working his way up the ranks from patrol officer to Lieutenant. After retiring from the police department, he became a substitute teacher for the Hudson School District and Trinity Academy. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed time on the golf course, coaching baseball, basketball, and soccer, and rebuilding trips with church groups affected by hurricanes, tornados, and floods. Paul held many titles in his life, but his favorite role was being a husband & father. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Patricia; his children Heidi (Christopher) Larson – Schooler and Robert (Elizabeth) Larson; his grandchildren Harper, Jack, and Sullivan; his brother Kenneth (Jane) Larson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Friday, May 3rd from 9:30 to 11 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at Trinity Lutheran, 1205 6th Street, Hudson. If you would like to make a memorial in Paul’s honor, the family requests that you donate to your local youth sports organization in Paul Larson’s name.
