Wayne C. Veenendall

Wayne C. Veenendall, age 99, entered heaven on June 12, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love and grace that will shine forever in the hearts that knew him.

Wayne was born on June 17, 1924, in Baldwin, WI, to parents Delmer and Gertrude (Wynveen) Veenendall.

He spent his life nurturing the land, crops, livestock, embodying a strong commitment to his faith and family.

Wayne was known for his unwavering integrity, and gentle spirit. Regardless of who crossed his path, Wayne possessed the remarkable ability to find the good in everyone and sparking conversations, especially when discussing his beloved farming endeavors.

He enjoyed time with family and friends, church events, card playing, bus trips, and attending Big 10 football games.

Wayne set an example of love, family and hard work, leaving an impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May Wayne rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of his Lord and Savior and those who have gone before him, including, the love of his life, Ruth, his wife of 76 years who passed just five months ago.

He will remain in the hearts of his children Sharon Hull (Chuck Niemeyer) Doug Veenendall (Christine), Paul Veenendall (Lynda Affolter), Keith Veenendall, Jerry Veenendall (Deanna), and Jayne Kincade; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren, sisters Ruth Johnson and Mildred (Al) Krause and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth; parents Delmer and Gertrude Veenendall; daughter-in-law Faith Anne Veenendall; son-in-law William Hull; grandson Brian Veenendall and brother Vernon Veenendall.

A Visitation to celebrate Wayne’s life will take place on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 pm at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin. On Thursday, June 20, 2024, a visitation will start at 10:00 am at the First Reformed Church, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Memorials are preferred to the First Reformed Church.
