Lucille Evelyn Larson, 96, passed away on July 6, 2024, at the Comforts of Home in Baldwin, WI.
Born on March 14, 1928, at home on the farm in Emerald Township, WI, to Maurice Olson and Nellie (White) Olson, Lucille started her journey through life with a strong dose of rural charm and a mischievous spirit.
Lucille attended rural school and spent her career in food service, working at various cafes and restaurants. If you ever had a meal she cooked, you probably still dream about it.
In 1948, Lucille married Earl Ramberg in Pine River, MN. They made their home in Pleasant Valley Township near Hammond, WI, South St. Paul, MN, and Newport, MN. Earl, being the wise man he was, knew he had married a gem. He passed away in 1978, but not before enjoying plenty of her cooking.
Lucille found love again and married Ronald Larson in 1988. They lived in Emerald, WI, until Ronald’s passing in 2003. Ronald quickly learned that life with Lucille was an adventure full of pranks and laughter.
Known for her cooking, sewing, and gardening, Lucille also had a passion for family and fun. She was a notorious prankster, always ready with a trick up her sleeve. She loved thrifting at garage sales, and she could always be found sneaking off on road trips with family and friends.
Lucille is survived by her five children: Dennis Ramberg, Janet Balsimo, Kevin (Robin) Ramberg, Rita Dow, and Randal (Tamara) Ramberg; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her humor and warmth.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husbands, and siblings Dorothy Mikla, Leonard Olson, and Ilene Draxler,
There will be a celebration of life held at Baldwin legion on Tuesday July 23 from 4-7pm.
There will be a private Burial ceremony will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Emerald, WI, Glenwood City, WI at a later date.
