Bernard “Bernie” C. Cobian, 71 of River Falls, died on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at his residence.He was born to Bernard “Ben” and Mary (Reis) Cobian on January 13, 1943.He attended Donegal Grade School and graduated from River Falls High School in 1960. Served in the Wisconsin National Guard where he was deployed to Fort Lewis Washington in 1961. He worked for Nor-Lake in Hudson, WI, then for 3M for 40 years. Upon retiring from 3M he spent the remaining years on his farm pursuing hobbies of bird and wild animal watching, old and new cars and keeping up with his friends.Bernie is survived by four siblings; Herbert (Irma) Cobian of Delavan, WI., Marlys (Herbert) Tauchen of Bonduel, WI., Francis (Joyce) Cobian of Sheboygan, WI., and Kenneth (Susan) Cobian of St. Anthony, MN., special friend; Carol Becker of Roberts, WI., many nieces, nephews and cousins.He is preceded in death by his father, “Ben”, mother, Mary, and sisters; Bernadine Cobian, Marion Neaton and Mildred Drewiske and brother, Norman Cobian.Memorials to be given to St. Mary’s (Big River) Catholic Church for Masses.
