Dustin Daniel White, age 39, of Hudson passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019 at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Dustin was born on April 10, 1980 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to Daniel and Loretta White.

Dustin graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 1998.  He then attended Minnesota State College in Red Wing, MN where he studied guitar construction and repair.  In 2001, he attended the University of Wisconsin – River Falls where he majored in sociology. Dustin and Salena were married in March of 2005 at the Como Conservatory in St. Paul, MN. Dustin and his family purchased the Minocqua Brewing Company in Minocqua, Wisconsin in the late spring of 2005.  He managed the business until it was sold in 2015.

Dustin was an avid lover of music.  He enjoyed going to concerts, and tinkering around on his guitar, banjo, and keyboard at home.  He had an eye for detail and a passion for photography. Dustin preferred the quieter life, enjoying nature, and had an appreciation for all seasons, especially fall.  Dustin was a thoughtful human being, a peacekeeper, and an exceptional listener- he valued what others had to say. Dustin always responded in a kind and considerate manner, constantly looking for the best in people.

The birth of his son, Evan was the most joyful day of his life.  He was a proud, loving, and patient father. He took pleasure in building legos with his son, but was a stickler in following the instructions. Dustin loved to take Evan for four-wheeler rides through the woods in Minocqua and help him build obstacles for his backyard ninja gym in Hudson.

Dustin is survived by his wife, Salena, and their son, Evan; his parents, Dan and Loretta “Laurie” White; his brother, Ryan White, and nephew, Kegan White.

Dustin is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Fred (Bill) and Lillian White; maternal grandparents, Margaret (Butch) and Romeo (Dude) Villeneuve; mother- in-law, Sherry Anderson-McSparren, and his golden retrievers, Oliver and Chelsea.

A Celebration of Dustin’s life will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, Wisconsin.
