In Memory of Cyndia Moore

Cyndia Sue “Cindy” Moore, age 70 of New Richmond, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 2, 2020 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Cindy was born on December 22, 1949 in Angola, Indiana to Benton and Hettie (Brown) Ballard. She grew up in Indiana and graduated from Angola High School in 1968. She continued her studies and graduated from beauty college in Fort Wayne, Indiana and took classes at Lake Michigan College in South Haven, Michigan. Cindy was blessed with two daughters, Heather and Heidi, and she loved raising them. Cindy worked for many years on the assembly line at the Chrysler plant in South Haven. When the plant was shut down during the 2008 recession, Cindy relocated to New Richmond, Wisconsin to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.

Cindy’s greatest joys in life were her family, her beloved chihuahua Moe, and the Minnesota Vikings. She relished in afternoons spent socializing with her family and friends, and the occasional opportunity of picking on Packer fans. Cindy was extremely talented with a sewing machine and made many of the outfits and dresses her daughters wore growing up. She also made clothes for the Barbie dolls and American Girl dolls that accumulated with two daughters and a granddaughter. She was fond of traveling, and enjoyed spending time at the beach.

Cindy will remain in the hearts of her daughter, Heather (Michael) Whaley; grandchildren, Tessa and Aidan Whaley. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Heidi Moore; grandson, Tyler Osteen; and her parents.

A private interment will be held. Memorials and cards for the family may be sent to O’Connell Family Funeral Home: Care of Cindy Moore Family, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, WI 54016, to be forwarded on your behalf.
