Patricia M. Hering “Patti” age 69 years young, peacefully passed away on December 4, 2021, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
Patti was born on February 18, 1952, in St. Paul, MN, to Vernon and Violet (Baciak) Doyle. She graduated from Murray High School (Hill Murray). In 1972 at the age of 20, Patti married Robert Hering and together they had three wonderful children. Although later divorced, Patti remained living in Stillwater, MN for 32 years before moving to Hudson, WI.
Patti will be remembered for her loving heart to all, quick smile, best random silly gifts, love of her five grandsons, her children and their spouses, as well as her friends and customers at County Market over the years. Her enjoyment of laughter and fun, cake at every event, acting silly with kids, a generous and helping hand, and a constant reminder to “count your positives” was what she enjoyed most. She was forever a kid at heart enjoying bingo with friends, watching car races and demolition derbies, attending old car shows, parades, sitting by the river in the sun, and her love of Elvis and his music.
Patti is preceded in death by her parents and an infant niece. She will be deeply missed and survived by her children: Kim (Mike) Johnson, Jason (Sarah) Hering, and Dawn (Toby) Thorn; her grandsons: Adam Johnson, Tyler & Tanner Hering, and Jacob & Ben Thorn; her siblings: Mary Jo (Jim) Blood, Mike (Marie) Doyle, and Carol (Mark) Celmins; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Arrangements are pending for a Celebration of Life open to the public at a later date.
Kim, I’m so sorry to read this. Prayers and hugs to you and your family. Losing your mom is hard.
I met Ms Patti as I called her about a year and a half ago at county market
And from that point on I tried never to be in such a hurry that I wouldn’t wait and get in Ms Patti’s lane. On many of those occasions right there in line waiting to be checked out I would shake her hand and a quick prayer for her, many of those times would include a big hug.
I’ll always remember her smile. She’s at peace!
My condolences to you guys.
