Dorothy Ann Cardarelli, age 88 of Hudson was born to eternal life, Friday August 14, 2020 at the Christian Community Home in Hudson. Dorothy was born to life on October 27, 1931 in St. Paul; the daughter of John and Esther (Busch) Valento. She was raised in St. Paul MN where she attended the 6B Country School prior to graduating from White Bear Lake High School. On August 9, 1958, she was united in marriage to Lorie Vincent Cardarelli.

Dorothy was a sweet soul for cared so much for others. She loved cooking, dancing, and camping earlier in her life. Dorothy was very much faith driven. Following Lorie’s death, she took great pride in helping her friend Bonnie with grief programs in Hudson.

Dorothy will live on in the hearts of her family; Children: Mary Cardarelli, Lori (Mark)Turner, Nancy Cardarelli, Andrea (Dave) Bourdeau. Grandchildren: Joe (Lisa) Foster, Shawna Foster, Sydney Turner, Marki (Steven) Nunley, Toni Turner, Zachary (April) Bourdeau, Alexandria (Anders) Christensen, Ella Bourdeau; Great Grandchildren: Max Foster, Isabelle Foster, Logan Freeman, Aidan Foster, Gracie Foster, Liberty Nunley, Riley Bourdeau, Joseph Bourdeau, Wesley Bourdeau; Siblings Donald (Janet) Valento, Rosemary McNea, James (Kathy) Valento, Jack (LuAnn) Valento, Gerald Valento, Jeff Valento, Larry Valento, Mark (Mary) Valento, Tony (Theresa) Valento, sister-in-law Rosalie Valento, as well as many nieces and nephews. Dorothy is preceded in death by John Valento (Father), Esther Valento (Mother), Lucina Valento (Mother), Marvin Valento (Brother), Lorie Vincent Cardarelli (Husband), Brian Foster (Grandson).

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM, Wednesday, August 19that St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with casketbearers being Jim Valento, Larry Valento, Joe Foster, Alexandria Christensen, Sydney Turner, and Toni Turner. Visitation will be Tuesday August 18th, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, as well as one hour prior to the mass at church on Wednesday. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
