Heidi Penman-Williams, age 54, of New Richmond, WI, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family, following a four-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Heidi was born on October 2, 1967, to Bruce and Cheryl (Drugge) Penman in Denver, CO. She grew up on Bass Lake in Somerset, WI, and later moved to St. Paul, MN, where she attended Harding High school and graduated in the class of 1986. After graduation, she attended Cal State University-East Bay in Hayward, CA, graduating in 1996 with a B.S. degree. Heidi met Craig while in California; the couple married in 1998 and later divorced in 2006 when she moved back home to Hudson, WI. Growing up on the water and in the snow, she loved to ski in all seasons. Heidi was proud of her father, Bruce, as he ran the Sundance Kids ski team at Birch Park Ski Area for many years.

Heidi had an outgoing personality and a beautiful smile and was able to make friends where ever she went and had lots of them. She spent many years in the food service industry in Wisconsin, Minnesota and even California.

She was blessed to have three children, Ben, Hannah, and Ethan. She loved and adored them; Heidi will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

On July 18, 2018, she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which metastasized to her liver. She was a strong woman who fought hard and endured four successful years of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, which currently only has a 10%, 5-year survival rate.

Heidi will remain in the hearts of her children: Ben (Courtney Larson) Williams, Hannah (Caleb Miers) Williams, and Ethan Bartle; partner: Troy Bartle; parents: Cheryl (Richard) Drugge, Bruce (Cheri) Penman; sister: Angie (Eric) Wilson-Lijewski; brother: Tom Penman; step-sisters: Lynn (Edd) Anderson and Angela (Michael) Durham; along with several nephews, great niece/nephews, and other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Eleanor and Dell Penman; maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Earl Ramsey; aunts: Jan Fussell, Sandy Skyberg, and Marilyn Penman; uncle, Larry Fussell; cousin, Karena Skyberg, and Brother-in-law, Roger Wilson.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12-3 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Lake Elmo Event Center, 3712 Layton Ave N, Lake Elmo, MN 55042. Memorials preferred to the “Williams-Bartle Children Memorial Fund” with Lake Elmo bank.
