11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson

Lenora Catherine Hurley, age 90 of Hudson, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Comforts of Home in Hudson.  Lenora was born March 10, 1925 in Bogalusa, LA, the daughter of Juan and Nellie (Stalnacker) Hernandez.  She graduated from Tallahassee High School, and further her education at El Paso Business College.  She was united in marriage on March 9, 1944 to John Robert Hurley in Pecos, TX.  Their marriage was blessed with a son, Michael, and two daughters, Catherine and Margaret.  Lenora provided for her family as a homemaker, lovingly raising her children.  

Lenora will remain in the hearts of her daughters, Catherine Moe-Evenson of Hudson and Margaret (William Minor) Hurley of Osage, MN; grandchildren:  Jill Moe, Timothy (Brandi) Moe, Anthony (Kristine) Moe, Bridget (Jeffrey) Lundquist, Isaac (Kristy) Larson, Isaiah Larson, Josiah Larson, and Michael (Charity) Hurley; and 11 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Hurley, USAF Retired, S.A.; son, Michael E. Hurley, USMC Retired, CWO3; sons-in-law, John W. Moe and Milton Evenson; and her parents.  

Funeral Services will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson.  Visitation will take place from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Lenora will be buried next to her husband at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, TX.
