Marie C. Ostendorf age 97 of Burkhardt, died Monday December 6th 2010 at the Hudson Hospital. Marie was born on October 1st, 1913 in Denmark, Wisconsin; the daughter of Lawrence and Elida (Johnson) Larsen. She was raised in Denmark where she graduated from high school in 1931. Marie was united in marriage to Harold Ostendorf. Harold was widowed himself. Harold and his first wife Lucille had four children Dick, Bob, Donna Mae, and Jerry. Marie worked many years as an auditor for Midland Cooperatives in Minneapolis. She enjoyed quilting and flower gardening. She also enjoyed playing cards and cribbage; especially 500 and Pinochle.  

She is survived by her family Donna Mae Seim, Dick (Rose) Ostendorf, Geraldine “Jerry” Ostendorf, Robert “Ozzie” Ostendorf; grandchildren Dale Ostendorf, David (Chris) Ostendorf, Kristi Ostendorf, Vicki Ostendorf, Dennis (Jeanne) Ostendorf, Linda (John) Rutherford, Pat Cote, Lanette “Sis” (Mike) Holland, Ruth Ann (Troy) Flaten, Nancy (Kevin) Frusher, Tara (Ilan) Boico, nine great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold, son-in-law Thomas Seim, and siblings Eugene, Earl, Emily, Loraine, and Ruby.  

Funeral service for Marie Ostendorf will be 2PM Friday December 10th at Christ Lutheran Church, 510 Germain Street in Somerset with Pastor Marilyn Thurber officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Somerset. Active casketbearers will be Billy Otto, David Ostendorf, Joel Larsen, Pat Cote, Larry Larsen, and Mike Holland with honorary casketbearers being Linda Rutherford, Nancy Frusher, Ruth Ann Flaten, Dennis Ostendorf, Vicki Ostendorf, Dale Ostendorf, Lanette “Sis” Holland, Kristi Ostendorf, and Tara Boico. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at church on Friday. Memorials preferred to the Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund. Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.
