Melinda Berner

Melinda J. Berner, 56, of Hudson, Wis., died on May 26th at Hudson Hospital. She was born on Feb. 6, 1955 in Beloit. Melinda was employed at Sentry Foods as a dietitian in Beloit, and a veterinarian assistant in Tennessee before retiring. Melinda loved gardening, her cats and feeding the deer in her backyard.

She will be sadly missed, but will live on, with love in our hearts forever.

Survivors include her husband, Peter Berner; daughters, Dena Berner, of Hudson; Krissy Bader and son, Timothy Berner, of Fond du Lac, Wis.; six grandchildren; sisters, Juli Karr, Mary Frye (Ron Kicker), Sue Kurth, all of Beloit; Amy (Brian) Bartolotto, of Bluffton, S.C.; aunt, Diane Lembck, of Franklin, Wis.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; in-laws, Sandy (Jerry) Gunning, of Ft. Meyers, Fla., Wendy (Kevin) Rausher, of Oregon, Wis., Jeff (Jeannie) Berner, Brian (Lori) Berner, and Marcy (Don) Reedy, of all Beloit.

She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Marion Boaz, brother, Stephen Boaz, of Beloit, uncle, Henry Steffens, of Coleman, Wis., son, Scott Berner, of Carthage College in Kenosha, Harold and Delores Berner, of Beloit.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Tuesday, May 31 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Vine Street in Hudson, Wis. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. The O’Connell Funeral Home, Hudson, is assisting with arrangements.
