Schuebel, Laurele

Laurele Kathrine Schuebel age 65, of Hudson, Wisconsin, died on August 14 unexpectedly during a surgical procedure.  She was born to Mildred (Clark) and Norman Aanonson on August 5, 1955, in St. Paul, MN. Laurele was united in marriage to Curtis Claire Schuebel on May 4, 1974. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter Dana Lynn, and son Douglas Michael. They were married for 31 years before Curtis’s passing in 2005.

Laurele was the forever caregiver. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, favorite aunt, sister, daughter, and wife. She was always concerned with what was going on in everyone’s life. She never wanted to be a burden to or hurt anyone. Her family was her number one concern. Laurele had no regrets in her life. She had a deep faith and is at peace.

She is survived by her mother, Mildred Aanonson, children, Dana (Todd) Strop, Dougie (Jennifer) Schuebel, grandchildren; Elizabeth, Andrea (TJ), Connor, Tyler, Kylie, Keyah, and great-granddaughter; Stella Jo, sisters; Char (Kevin) Eckert, Rosey Olson, Julie Ray, and Shelly (Robert) Gordien,  in-laws; Craig Schuebel, Luella (Chris) Penn, Claire (Sarah) Schuebel, Liz (Derek) Clark. Special Great Nephew Ashton, nieces and nephews; Shelia, Brett (Katie), Jessica, Jennifer (Aaron), Alyse, Nick, David, Carrie (Adam), Mary (Tom), Hannah (Kirk), Emma, Sebastian, Curtis, Lily, Olivia, Aiden, Johnathon, Chris (Mezzie), Sam, Derrick (Leah), John, and Charles. She is preceded in death by her husband Curtis and her father Norman.

Visitation for Laurele will be Friday, August 21st from 3:00 to 5:00pm, with prayer service at 5:00pm at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, WI. Masks and appropriate social distancing are required at the funeral home. Internment will be a private family gathering at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI, with her husband Curtis, who served our country in Vietnam.
