Verlin Studtman

Verlin L. Studtman, age 86 of Houlton died July 21st at Comforts of Home in Hudson.

Verlin was born May 8, 1933 in Forest, WI, the son of Ella Studtman. He went to Wagon Landing grade school and then New Richmond high school. After his education at New Richmond high school, he found employment at Andersen’s Windows. During his employment at Andersen’s, he would join the Army. After his time in the Army, he went back to Andersen’s Windows and would go on to become a member of the Quarter Century Club, retiring after more than 40 years of service. Working faithfully and diligently with employees that would become friends.

Verlin was fond of woodworking and giving out the items he created to his family. He enjoyed working in the garden and canning in the fall. Verlin was an avid deer hunter and proficient marksman, and greatly enjoyed taking his grandchildren on fishing trips. Verlin found comfort in the time spent with family.

Verlin will remain in the hearts of his daughter, Theresa (Doug) Stone of Somerset, WI; grandchildren, Joshua (Lindsay) Stone of Midlothian, VA and Danielle Hanson of Somerset, WI; grandchildren Gemma and Charlotte; step-children, Clarice (Luane) Johnson of Star Prairie, WI, Albert Severson of Houlton, WI, Clarence (Martha) Severson of Houlton, WI, Wilemar (Denise) Studtmann of Houlton, WI, Henry (Roxanne) Studtmann of Milltown, WI; with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his significant other, Amanda Studtman; stepchildren, Caroline Cook, George Studtmann, Shirley Plattner and John Studtman.

Funeral service for Verlin Studtman will be 4pm, Friday July 26th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at O’Connell’s Friday afternoon. Burial will be in the Houlton Cemetery with military honors provided by the New Richmond VFW. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
