Wesley Daniel Carlson, age 33, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 19, 2014 at his home.  Wes was born June 11, 1980 in St. Charles, IL to Richard D. Carlson and Patricia D. Kells.  He graduated from Marengo High School, Marengo, IL in 1998.  On August 2, 2008, Wes was united in marriage to Sandra (Nicki) Gibson in Moline, IL.  While in Moline, he worked for Sears as a salesman in the tool department.  In October, 2009, they moved to Creston, IA where Wes worked for Wellman Dynamics as a lead lay out technician.  He loved spending time with his children and tinkering in the garage.  He also loved a good cigar.

Survivors include his wife Sandra “Nicki” (Gibson) Carlson of Creston, IA; two sons, Wesley Carlson, Jr. of Wonder Lake, IL; Corbin Carlson at home; his parents Rich (Tracy) Carlson of Baldwin, WI; Patricia (Randy) Edwards of Peoria, IL; two brothers Spencer Carlson and Dustin Carlson both of Duluth, MN; three sisters Melissa Carlson (Chris Freise) of Union, IL and Laurel Carlson and Emma Carlson, both of Baldwin, WI.  His paternal grandmother, Annette Carlson of Huntley, IL; maternal grandparents, Bart (Sylvia) Regelbrugge of Los Lunas, New Mexico and step-grandparents, Roger and Sandy Gehrke of Hudson, WI.  He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Willard L. Carlson, a nephew, Gabriel Freise and a cousin, Michelle Carlson.

Friends are invited to join the family for a Memorial Gathering from 3:00-4:00pm, and a 4:00pm Prayer Service on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church, 2084 County Road N in Baldwin, followed by burial and a time of fellowship.
