Katherine Ann deVries, age 49 of Hudson WI, was greeted by her Lord on Saturday, June 14, 2014 surrounded by the love of her family. Katherine was born June 9, 1965 in Charleston SC, the daughter of Gerald S. and Anna L. (Doyle) Sosnoski. Katherine graduated from Zion-Benton High School in Zion IL, and furthered her education at the College of Lake County and Trinity International University of Deerfield IL. Katherine would be united in marriage to Michael deVries on April 5, 1986 at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Wadsworth, IL. Their union in marriage would be blessed with four children, and over 28 years of love and devotion.

Kathy was dedicated to the Lord as his faithful servant and to her family as a wife and mother. Her service was characterized by a life invested in her family, and in the role of educator, where she home schooled her children. Kathy previously worked in customer service at 3M and Best Chiropractic. She also enjoyed cross stitching, sewing and quilting. Though she will be missed by many, her love will live on.

Katherine is survived by her loving husband, Michael; daughter, Rebekah (Rick) Peggar; sons, Benjamin, Daniel, and Jonathan; her mother, Ann Sosnoski; brothers, Matthew (Brenda) Sosnoski, and Mark (Melissa) Sosnoski; niece, Kayla Radtke; nephew, Mark Sosnoski Jr.; godparents, Robert Kniaz and Jean Brodie; her mother and father-in-law, Marguerite and Thomas deVries; sister-in-law, Corrie (Chris) Williams; nephew, Brian (Mandy) Oakly; nieces, Elizabeth Oakley and Kyleigh Williams; as well as many other relatives and dear friends. Katherine was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Sosnoski and her brother-in-law William deVries.

Memorial Celebration of Life Services for Katherine deVries will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 21st at Faith Community Church, 777 Carmichael Rd. in Hudson.
