Roy Anthony Nichols, age 52 of Hudson, WI, passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2017 at his residence in Hudson, WI.

Roy was born June 13, 1964 in St. Paul, MN to Charles and Carol (Olson) Nichols. He graduated from Stillwater High School, the class of 1986. Roy was united in marriage on February 13, 1993 to the love of his life, Vicki Jo Paffel. Roy was an artist and was fond of helping people. He had the ability to fix almost anything.

Roy will forever remain in the hearts of his wife of 24 years, Vicki; mother, Carol Nichols; brother, Kelly; sisters, Becky Schmidt, and Eva Marie (Johnny) Schmidt; uncle, Dan (Julie Quinn) Nichols; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles; infant brother, Charles Roy; grandparents, George and Etta Olson; father-in-law, Tony Paffel; aunts and uncles, Clare Ann Olson, Roy Robbins, Shirley Bredahl, and Tom Olson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson, WI. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m., with a 7:45 p.m. prayer service, Tuesday, April 4 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, WI, and one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday.
